Cricut Cake Birthday
Okay, I tried. What a time I had. I had purchased the Frosting Sheets, Wilton Fondant and Provocraft Gum Paste. The Frosting sheets I will not buy again. They cost a lot and would not cut for me. They did not crumble so they were not dry, but they just seemed to fold up so that the next cut tore up. The Gum Paste was tough to use. I did put in microwave to soften and it did cut the numbers on the cake, but I couldn't get it to cut anymore after that. My palms are so sore from rolling the gumpaste they hurt and look red. Last the Wilton Fondant I used to cut the letters/fonts and it seemed to be the best. I used Cuttin Up Cart for the letters Marlene, Sweet Treats for the number 43 and the happy birthday which cut fine but doesn't look defined. Not easy, but I guess it takes loads of practice. Finally I have a Lemon Supreme Cake. It may not look the greatest, but it tastes good.

Cricut Cake
Bought my cricut cake from HSN arived Friday, ran out Saturday to get fondant. Found a store in the city called N.Y Cake. Loads of baking items. Tested machine Sunday to see if it was a keeper. Well she wins I'll love her. I ordered the Provocraft gumpaste and frosting sheets so can't wait to cut those and see which works best for me. I did find the fondant cut beautiful but a bit too soft. The outer piece of the heart just crumbled. Guess I'll be hitting the cricut message boards and google to find out what others are doing about that.

Off Topic - Margarita Jello
I've been missing in action for a bit. Work has been taking most my time these days so haven't created a thing until today. I bought myself the Cricut Cake Machine for my birthday. So to get myself in kitchen mode I also made some Margarita Jello.

Hello Everyone
Took me a while to get it together so its late for the Picnic Challenge over at Cricutters Anonymous, but better late than never. Its an invite to a 4th of July BBQ. I used the Gypsy with the Stand and Salute and Cuttin Up cartridges, then cut the papers and placed them on the mat. Then cut cut cut.
